| Posted: | | | | Like Skip, I'll probably bust out the Nikon D50 with my studio lighting and shoot a product shot. My little briefcase should arrive today. It was supposed to arrive yesterday but it got delayed. I complained to Amazon and they refunded the shipping . | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

KM HD DVD version had the regular complete version inside the case, so I would assume that it would be same for the regular DVD version. This is infinitely more useful than the mess of a case that is Harry Potter or Star Trek: TOS Combo. I can leave the brief case on the display stand and file the DVD case that's inside with rest of my DVD collection. Easy to take out and use without messing up your case and needing a separate table. | | | My Home Theater |

Nice. Glad to hear it. What about the fifth disc? The workprint only comes with the briefcase, right? Does it get its own case, or did they fit it inside the regular case? I have a couple box sets (anime mostly, that has pictures on all 4 sides (actually all 6) and I think the picture shows nicer. I beleive this is how the cowboy bebop limited edition picture currently is) -Agrare |

KM Inside the Briefcase is a standard size Digipak wth slipcase. It has all 5 discs in it. I took the Digipak and put it on my bookshelf with the other DVDs and have the breifcase for display | | | Chris | | | Last edited: by cmaeditor |

Things like this make the "collector" in me giggle with glee. I picked up the Manhunter limited release a couple years ago not realizing that it too was numbered on the back. I think 100,000 of those were made and mine is around 80,000 or so. | | | "Rules are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men" - Douglas Bader "A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools." - Douglas Adams |

I don't have mne in font of me at the moment, but I believe the DVD run was a little over 103,000 copies. I am geeting a copy of the Blu-Ray edition from amazon to give as a gift to a friend, so I can see how many they made of it as well. | | | Chris |

I got the HD DVD version (5-disc Ultimate Collector's Edition) and the case says 081719/103000 so apparently they made 103,000 of these. Maybe FutureShop has some other kind of exclusive? | | | "Rules are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men" - Douglas Bader "A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools." - Douglas Adams |

Maybe, 103,000 is the total for US DVD, Blu-ray, and HD DVD Ultimate sets combined. 2,500 number is probably Canada only just like with Anchor Bay's numbered limited release of Army of Darkness (25,000 for US and 2,500 for Canada). | | | My Home Theater |

That's true.. there's nothing on the case itself that indicates the format, so they could use it for all 3 releases. I think someone mentioned the DVD version was a digipak, so for those curious, the HD version is a thick Elite keepcase with several double sided "pages" and all 5 discs are in it. Oh, and the briefcase is plastic. I had hoped it would be metal, but it's cool none the less. | | | "Rules are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men" - Douglas Bader "A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools." - Douglas Adams | | | Last edited: by Vega |

And to answer the second part of my question: the workprint version comes in both the briefcase edition and the 5-disc collector's edition. This is contrary to what was originally reported (the original press release talked about a 4-disc edition) but I spent some time in Future Shop today and can confirm that there is indeed a 5-disc edition with the workprint.
