| Posted: | | | | I believe, if my memory serves, correctly that was either stated or implied when they started Invelos, khless. I would suggest trying the Disc level approach, yes it does take time but I also suspect that will discover any number that have already been done at that level, either directly here or through Tom's site which should make it easier for you.

I frankly still don't comprehend your resistance, it makes the data so much more easy to deal with and manage.

If they should decide to change the rules in this regard, I will not contribute further TV cast and crew. I will not add child profiles to TV sets in my collection. And so do I. 100% ack. | | | Ääärrrrrmin!! |

Skip Frankly, I don't see how adding a thousand more profiles to my collection will accomplish any of that. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

This may be subject to discussion, Skip. But I really do not understand the decline of a contribution which is obviously compliant to the rules... | | | Thorsten |

| Posted: | | | | I don't understand the decline either... my guess would be just simple human error.
As for the child profiles or not... I definitely use them... and love having them. one of the biggest reasons for me, personally would be the fact that I can track my watched stats right down to disc level. This is extremely helpful when you don't watch a complete set all at once... you don't have to worry about remembering which disc you left off at.
I also like having the cast and crew cut down into more manageable chucks like you get in the disc level. Makes it much easier as you know exactly which disc you will find a guest star or what have you. | | | Pete |

But I really do not understand the decline of a contribution which is obviously compliant to the rules... Ever heard of human error? It happens. A simple PM to Gerri regarding this contribution was all that was needed. IMO, the thread starter blew this totally out of proportion and should not have brought it here to the forums to begin with. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

Skip I have hundreds of TV boxsets. When I would add 3-6 disc profiles for each, my collection list would result in thousands of TV profiles with a few movie profiles sprinkled in-between. And in my opinion: Either TV show data at season level or episode level. Not something in-between. This is why I manage my episodes in the Viewer. In there I can assign episodes to the season profile. As long as Profiler cannot do something similar, I will continue to use the Viewer as my main tool. And it would not make it easier, but more complicated, having to create child profiles and divide the cast and crew to disc-level. | | |

A simple PM to Gerri regarding this contribution was all that was needed. IMO, the thread starter blew this totally out of proportion and should not have brought it here to the forums to begin with. The point is that this did not happen for the first time, 8ball. As I wrote in my initial post, a different user reported exactly the same happening to one of his TV series contributions. And if this happened twice, it might have happened to many more users who didn't say anything about it. Considering this, a thread about this topic was absolutely justified IMHO. | | | Michael | | | Last edited: by TigiHof |

Skip That was my understandig as well, Skip. But do you have a different explanation for this decline ? Do you honestly think such a mistake would happen to Gerri ? She must have accepted thousands of TV series profiles by now. | | | Michael |

| Posted: | | | | OK, Gerri answered that she'll look into this (and that in fact, the decline button and the accept button are right on top of each other and sometimes the wrong button just gets pushed).
Obviously she already did, because it looks to me as if the declined update is released now. Can anybody confirm this ? In that case I would withdraw my pending resubmission. | | | Michael |
