I seem to remember this particular wording having been made by a Brit, where for us the word "series" is what the US calls a "season" (Two Pints being an example, the box is labelled "series 3 + 4"). The rule refers to "seasons", not shows as a whole, and should probably be reworded to reflect that. As you say Hans, a box set of multiple different shows doesn't make sense to have rules about. Aha, I always read "series" as "show", not "seasons". Still, that's a tough thing in some cases. For example, 'Allo 'Allo has two DVD releases which include two different seasons (1&2, 3&4). However, on those releases episodes of different seasons are present on the SAME disc. It'd be hard (and in my opinion completely pointless) to split those into two profiles. | | | . · You are my center when I spin away. Out of control on videotape. On videotape · . |

| Posted: | | | | Yes, I think it's the biggest failing of this rule, the fact it was written by a brit. It makes perfect sense to us over here, but we forget sometimes that our language can be as confusing as hell sometimes! A translation for the non-brits: "Note: In rare cases where multiple Complete TV Seasons of a TV series are packaged together, the Box-set rules can be applied, treating each season like a single film - applying the above rules for it’s individual profile." | | | Last edited: by northbloke |
