| Posted: | | | | Quote: Fix it and i will vote No, There is no other credit for Shakespeare, stop trying to impose YOUR will on the database. This IS William Shakespeare's hamlet NOT Ken Brannagh's.
As I noted you are creating so much spin to validate YOUR opinion i6t is impossible to enter the data. STOP IT
Skip I am totally perplexed by Mr. Skip's comment. The title is the title. It is not a credit. Then, should "Romeo & Juliet" be "William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet"? I just don't fully understand the reasoning. Regards, DG |

| Posted: | | | | A posesessive is a possessive. A rose is a rose. Did Kenneth Brannagh write this play...NO he did not,. In fact this is the first time the entire script of Shakespeare has been put to film If Kenneth Brannagh did not write the play then WHO DID? Kenneth Brannagh chose for HIS own reasons, which I am not privy to, to NOT give any writing credit to Mr. Shakkespeare, ala Based on Characters Created by William Shakespeare...No Credit at all, NONE , NADA, NOTHING Instead Kenneth Brannagh CHOSE to acknowledge the work of the author through the possessive...ummm DUH! If the possessive is not used, then the data is NOT factual and misrepresents the film. I don't get what you don't get! But then nothing here surprises me anymore even some loud mouth Aussies, or amybe he is a Kiwi. whose sole Contribution to these forums is to insult. Or perhaps I should say ATTEMPT to insult. | Posted: | | | | Noone is even suggesting "Kenneth Brannagh's Hamlet" so what has that to do with anything. Each field should be looked at independently. There is nothing in the rules to say, if a possessory credit is not included in the main credits then include it in addition to the title. Personally I think that the possessory credit should be included in the credits - it is a credit afterall. | | | Andy

| Posted: | | | | I'd agree with that - I'd have no problem if someone were to credit OMB by William Shakespeare because of the possessory credit. After all, if it was intended to be part of the title wouldn't it be a bit odd that a filmed version of a Shakespeare play didn't credit Shakespeare? |

| Posted: | | | | Hamlet has been approved (removal of "William Shakespeare's..." from the title). I would expect that it will be released in tonight's update. You'll find it under "Hamlet". | | | ...James
