| Posted: | | | | Sorry, I doubt that anybody is going to help you pay for a $30 product. Just hold off on buying two DVD's and you'll have enough to buy it yourself. |

It's the point that the report function is no more in the "free" Version, which was in the older version of DVDP. I think this is not right here.
But if you wanna help me ... put together some bucks and buy it for me. As long as there is no "good" conversation here I don't know what I should get when I buy this product! Maybe it will picking and flaming me like the people here? If you want to know what you will get then back up your database, uninstall and then reinstall profile and add no more than 49 dvds. You can then play with the functionality to your hearts content to work out if it gives you what you need. You simply have to accept that Ken and Gerri have made a commercial decision to move on and make the program provide a better revenue stream. Complaining about keeping it effectively free is not going to make them change their mind and will only get people to post the responses you've been getting. You can of course keep using the old version for free, but have to accept that you will have to manually add any new titles as the database is no longer being updated. If you don't like it then I suggest you head off to google and search out some of the alternatives already mentioned, as continuing here will not help you. | | | IVS Registered: January 2, 2002 |

I was going to look at your DVD collection to see what you had, ( but alas it isn't uploaded), BUT I was going to take a peak, and see if there are two titles I would be interested in buying from you at $15.00 each,, (or maybe a Criterion for $30.00?) and then I'll pay your PayPal for you once the Discs hit my front door... ....No ?? | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. | Posted: | | | | If you only use the program a couple of times a year and can't see yourself getting more use out of it, then DVD Profiler isn't for you. Despite other's opinions, I can appreciate that a simply report of your DVDs is not worth $30.
Invelos is quite within it's rights to change the features available to free users - at the end of the day, DVD profiler is a commercial venture and you've have been getting a free ride. You simply need to decide what the program's worth to you, and if all you want is a basic listing, then a spreadsheet probably is as easy as anything.
For those that think I'm dissing DVD Profiler, I'm not. I just acknowledge that DVD Profiler is a sledgehammer and estrichleger only needs to crack a nut.
