On the "edit profile" screen in the top left hand corner is the text "Test", which, when clicked, shows a small bit of text, saying "Say Hello C# Converted".

Is this a secret message?

You're seeing this because you have installed the sample C# plugin.

1: When entering a date in the personalization screen, if you click on the month a drop list pops-up with 12 times "January".  If I pick the 6th in the list it does give me June but it's annoying.

Unable to reproduce this - all months appear correctly here.

I can - FujitsuSiemens PocketLOOX N560, WM5.

It doesn't appear to have anything to do with Regional Settings either - if I set it to "English (United States)", it still does it...
The future is here. It's just not widely distributed yet. (William Gibson)

Thanks Rander.  I was trying to find a way of capturing the screen to show it to Ken.  I also tried a different regional setting (English US instead of English Canada) and didin't fix it for me either.

And I didn't even know I'd installed it......

but seriously, I can't find "sample C# plugin" listed in the Installed Plugins page, and when I click on the popup text it goes off to the Export to XML bit.

So what is it there for?

There were at least two plugins (mine included), that accidentally left that sample code in there.

If it's really bothering you, go to Tools -> View Plugins.  You can enable and disable plugins from there and you should be able to narrow it down to see which plugin is adding that test menu.

As for it's purpose, Ken provided some sample plugin code for us to play with.  Initially we had an extremely hard time starting plugin projects from scratch.  We eventually figured it out of course, but for a while, some people were just taking the project provided by Ken (with all the test code in it) and modifying that instead of creating new projects.  That's probably how this came to be.

The good news is that it should be harmless.

Are you certain? When I walk sideways, I'm too drunk to know why.
If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

Great! Nested boxsets ... I didn't think that one would make it into the updates so soon! Thanks.

Download link points to old version. Clearing cache and trying the download on three different machines produces the same result.

Build 1151 is the released version but it's also the latest beta version.  That's probably causing your confusion (had to double-check myself).

Trying to download from the link provided by Ken at the start of this thread gets the old release version (3.0.3), rather than the new version. Same if I try from the link on the home page.

I had the same problem on the machine where the software is installed, but when I tried it here at the office a short while ago, I got the new version.
I would suggest delete all old download files and also delete the folder that it unzips to first, then download again. Maybe that will work?

Ken, have you thought of making the program downloads available via bittorrent? When new releases come out, your servers must take a hammering.
