No Rule change is required.

The quotation marks are not part of title.

It doesn't say anything in the rules about using parentheses. I have bolded the use of parentheses in the rule. No one would suggest that those titles should be recorded with parentheses in the online database.

The rule says Use the title from the film's credits.. In my view, and that of many others, that means use the film credits but that the parentheses are punctuation used to highlight the title and are not part of the title.

A rule change stating that users should not use parentheses would make the matter clearer but I believe that my submission to change the title from "Mister Roberts" to Mister Roberts is well within the ambit and intent of the current rule.

They aren't 'parentheses'; they are 'quotes', or 'quotation marks'.

Well you can help achieve consistency by voting yes to my contribution.

I don't have the Mister Roberts title so I can't vote, but I sure wish I was around when the so-called majority approved it with quotes.  Next we'll be arguing that some titles need to be italicized because that's how they appear on film.  This is getting beyond idiotic.
