Why would one create a Program to import data which by law cannot be copied and which Program forbids that content. You are on your own LOCALLY. The very development of such a program would also violate the Trems of Service and Licensing of IMDb and most any other database and would be illegal.

Skip It's very simple: using third party things could force Invelos to be a victim of needless legal actions. We don't want this anymore!! So If you want to keep the status quo of this fine programme: think, think and don't use any copyrighted sources! | | | Thorsten |

| Posted: | | | | As long as it stays on my PC I don't see an problem. I think Invelos should remove all DVD titles with no cast and crew in their DB there a bunch.
If the DVD doesn't have cast & crew then should be rejected from even being added to the db then people like me would not be looking for a 3 party program to enter the information for us. |

| Posted: | | | | You can "cheat" a little with DVD Profiler
If there is another release of the same film (IE different region) you can usually grab the info from there, and submit it as the new profile for the new disc (or just keep it for you)
Just make sure you say that in the submission | | | Signature? We don't need no stinking... hang on, this has been done... blast [oooh now in Widescreen] Ah... well you see.... I thought I'd say something more interesting... but cannot think of anything..... oh well And to those of you who have disabled viewing of these signature files "hello" (or not) Registered: July 27, 2004 |

| Posted: | | | | just for your information I never upload movies and hardly ever update my online profiler. So like I said it stays on my pc.
So you can talk about rules all you want. I can edit my own files how I like. Just doing it automatic is easy compare to doing it by hand.
Next you will all will say using high res custom DVD covers is wrong also. |

He does not want to follow the rules so he must be an evil person who eats children for breakfast and has bootlegs. If he has no qualms about stealing from IMDB (data scraping) why would he stop there and not get boots? It didn't sound like he was questioning the rules to me - Rather he didn't like them and was just going to ignore them. I would never suggest someone "blindly follow rules/orders without questioning them." But if you don't like the rules, don't play the game. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges?
