Hi MD.
I'm still having problems
Under my load DVD plugin I have the following
Default Changer: Dacal/Ziotek
device name: Dacal001
Device ID: 40986
The machine ID for the carousel is 63467
I used the 40986 for ID Name when the software was loaded.
Under each title in Profiler personal infor what should I use for Location and Slot.
thanks

That's the problem. Remember I told you to edit the device ID. The 40986 is the deice ID from my unit. I did not intend to do that - maybe when I made an upgrade, I included my personal configuration by mistake.

So take out the 40986 and put in 63467 and you will be happy. I already told you what to put into location and slot in my prior post. I think you are now all set - let me know ...

I understand what your saying. I enter in the device ID (mine is 63467) in the box next to Serial Update I enter Ziotek Id 63467 then click on update serial. That shows up in the field labled device next to decal001. I then exit and save. When I come back to LoadDVD page, the ID 40986 is back.
Sorry for all the questions.

thanks again

Gasp ... oh no, what the #$%$#?

I wonder why this bug is not affecting others? I hope somebody who is using Dacal/Ziotek sees this and offers some advice. Meanwhile, I will start looking at the code again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Edit: Ok, here is a workaround I just tried and it seems to work. Go the folder \plugins\loadDVD and you will see a file dacalmap.txt. Carefully edit that file, changing the incorrect device ID to yours. You only need to do one (dacal1). Save the file see what happens.

I still can't figure out when that bug appeared ...

Finding your note about the file with the device id's I have updated mine and it now works perfectly.

I used to have to connect all of my devices and power them up to gain access, I now only have to connect and power up the one I want to extract a disk from.

Cheers for all you work with this plugin.

You're welcome. With the fix in 1.3, you should be able to update the file through the options panel instead of manually.

Just recieved my Dacal today, and trying to work with it. When clicking on of the buttons, the Dacal moves to the position, but that is it, nothing else. Can't get the DVD out. Hoping someone can help me.

Edit: I needed to open the plastic door, before it can operate the lever...
Unfortunately, I can't use DVDprofiler at the moment due to lack of a Windows computer.

Hey EdwinK, you have a lot of experience with these things. Have you had a chance to explore the new model with the built-in DVD drive? Any issues with compatibility?
