(Sir) John Gielgood (Sir) Laurence Olivier
Naturally there are entries for both versions of the above names in the cast database. But the "Sir" is part of the first name for the entries that use it. |

Well, to throw my spanner at these works - like Dr. Rev. and other prefixes of similar type, you do not get knighted at birth, so in my mind this would be John Gielgood credited as Sir John Gielgood [Edit - also, most actors do loads of work before they get knighted/dame'd, and only get the kighthood/Damehood for their acting] Though, I also admit that this means a "whole lot of work" to a) come to an agreement, and b) audit all the titles for these changes. Until there is a rule... OK, I think I will shut up now - don't hurt me | | | Signature? We don't need no stinking... hang on, this has been done... blast [oooh now in Widescreen] Ah... well you see.... I thought I'd say something more interesting... but cannot think of anything..... oh well And to those of you who have disabled viewing of these signature files "hello" (or not) Registered: July 27, 2004 | | | Last edited: by FunkyLA |
