Select 'Reassign all collection numbers' and 'purchse date' radio buttons
OK
Then order by Collection Number
If you don't want to use collection number and just want to order by purchase date:
Click the down arrow next to/part of the small symbol above the word Title on the collection list, select 'purchase date' - > ascending/descending as requred. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

| Posted: | | | | You can assign a collection number to the child profiles: right click/personalize. The automatic way is like Voltaire53 posted before. But you should verify, that the purchase date of boxset and child profiles are identical. The profiles below and above should have another purchase date! After this you can upload your collection again. If there are problems you can upload an empty database before this procedure. | | | Thorsten |

Sorry... actually I'd already replied to this thread and must have got it muddled with another recent one that was actually asking! Yeah, I've had days (years, decades) like that, too! So, how (in what arrangement) do you sort & number your collection? | | | If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

So, how (in what arrangement) do you sort & number your collection? Well since Invelos puts your library base into four categories ( ALL / OWNED/Ordered/ Wishlist).. My order is different for each column. All- Title Only alphabetically and produced (years)columns Owned-Catalogue numbered only Newest to Oldest Ordered -by purchased Dates only ( so I know how long it took for either my mail order club or eBay to arrive Wish list - wish priority (so I can keep terms like Really need a the top so as time goes by I can see that list and soon whittle it down to my Ordered , and then to my Owned columns. That is the way I catalog the lists here on Invelos., My shelf stock is in two/three types - Alphabetically / Box sets / strange sized or uniformly styled jackets can all go together on a separate shelf. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. | Posted: | | | | It's too bad I cannot sort on Location / Slot because I take most of my DVD's out of the casing (one discers and TV show boxsets) and put the in a large sleeve case (got a 1000 pcs. coffret :O ). | | | My DVD's

| Posted: | | | | You should be able to sort by location/slot - just make sure the "disc location" column is displayed in your Collection List window and sort there. |

| Posted: | | | | Sorted by purchase date. Each disc is numbered with the following exceptions:
TV set child profiles do not get numbered...only the parent does.
For movie box sets the child profiles are numbered but the parent is not.
Bonus Material discs are not numered. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |
