| Posted: | | | | Which is wjy I have seen at least 5 different suggestions by different users, not me, though I agree, that we not start jumping the gun on Variants until either we have some sort of standard formula or Ken decides to handle the Common Name choice himself.

Unfortunately, the Plugin API doesn't currently provide a way to do this. One would assume that changing data or at least changing LastEdited would trigger the icon, but it doesn't. | | | Matthias |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks Matthias, great tool you've created.
There are a couple of additions that would really help.
1. The ability to flag profiles that you have edited. 2. The option to input your own common name. I'm finding variations where all displayed are incorrect.
Thanks. | | | Stuart |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting skipnet50: Quote: Thoughts? The large column # suggests that this is an invalid character in one of the big text fields (OverView, EasterEggs, Notes). To isolate the exact reason: Export your collection into an XML file.Let Name Variants process the exported file instead of the Live database.Make a note of the error line/column (which will probably differ from the one for the Live database).Open the exported XML in a text editor and locate the error position. Please note that the position may not be exact, so you have to check the surrounding text as well.Fix the invalid text by editing the profile in DVD Profiler. If you are unable to determine the invalid character, copy the XML snippet for the profile surrounding the error position (from <DVD> to </DVD> ) into a second text file and contact me via PM. | | | Matthias | | | Last edited: by goodguy |

| Posted: | | | | I had a similar problem Skip, and it was a dodgy ' in the overview of the profile that the line/column fell in - although it was not actually at the place reported.
I would start with the overview when looking at the problematic profile! | | | Andy

| Posted: | | | | Hi, I have vista and got the same error message as sugarjoe, to fix it I ran the uninstall first, as the file actually gets loaded it just just doesn't get registered. Then once that had finished successfully, I ran the install.cmd as an administrator and it installed successfully, this error message appears to be related to some of the new security things in Vista. |
