There's also a thread with a poll for Special Effects with the complete opposite result saying they're valid.

Yes, the downvoted rule change thread tried to invalid them. They are valid.

So NONE of the credits he has so far (the ones you've posted) are valid because they're all SFX without titles  (Supervisor, Designer, or Director)!

This is not true. Per the rules any individual credits are valid!

There was a thread in the rules forum with the intention to change this, but it the response was negative.

Thanks for clarifying.

So we must add all of those VFX groups again with dozens of names without a proper job description?

I, personally, don't add them, because I think they are completely sense- and useless... But we can not remove them, if anyone else adds them: adding them is perfectly covered by the rules.

... many things are written in the rules, which does not make sense for all of us. Everybody can add and improve data which is important himself and ignore other data:
I try to be perfect for:
- cast & crew
- BYs and common names
- spelling and parsing (first/middle/last) of names
... but I rather ignore:
- studios
- individual xFX personal
- wardrobe personel
- excessive individual makeup personel
...
