I guess you are right. If you are happy with what you have fine, but some aren't because of the promise made 4 years ago. BTW no need to play the parsing game with me, I don't really care when politicians do it and I certainly care less when we talk of a computer software.

My last comment is based on the way you usually turn every words in whatever sense you want to make everything sound different than what was clearly written.

Don't open the thread then. And thanks for the continued bumps.

And yet you find it significant enough to continue posting how fine everything is. Usually, when I don't care about a topic, I just don't read it. But, hey, that's just me I guess.

My personal perception:

DVD Profiler is the backbone but the online database is its life's blood.  Without it, I suspect very few people who purchased it would have done so.  I wouldn't have.

The online database needs users such as you and I to contribute profiles to keep the online database current.  A database that isn't current will lead to user disappointment and I suspect public outcry.

So, Invelos should really be trying hard to keep the contributors happy.  Their lack of input into contribution issues is ... disturbing.  This lack of interest gives (me) the perception that Invelos isn't that interested in the product and that makes it's future in question and has long since killed my own desire to make contributions.

The amazing thing is that this perception could be totally negated by Ken posting "Sorry guys, was watching a movie!" as long as it was followed up by taking care of contribution issues.

I was going to leave the 'insulting' comment be but having just read another thread, no. You are the last person who can call anyone insulting. In this thread you called somebody a jerk, in others you have berrated people because 'you were involved' in the writing of the rules and previously I have seen you 'hazing' folks. Please don't play a victim when you are so often the bully.

As my old man used to tell me, don't give out what you can't take.

Except that it had nothing to do with the facts discuss here... Whatever happen is his personal life is irrevelent with the fact that Invelos broke its promise and say a big F you the consummers by not updating the rules and don't show in the discussions (as promised).

Like it or not, people buy DVDP because of its database without it the software is useless for most people... Not everyone care enough to do all the job by themselves as I do.

Of course if on the product page it would be written that DVDP came with an unreliable database because the rules are never updated wich brings two sets of rules (one for the forum participants and one for the other) and the owner doesn't care unless a new version need to be tested, my recrimination would stop since it would be truth.

I'm not trying to add fuel to the fire, but this paragraph has me confused.

If you do not care about such things and you think that they are insignificant, then why have you been so vociferous in this thread? Seems to me that you aren't practicing what you are preaching.

Please be so kind as to show me where I made a single post about how fine everything is.  You can't, because I didn't.  What I did make a post about, several actually, is the fact that I don't care about the lack of support.  For some reason, and I honestly don't understand why, that seems to bother you.

This made me laugh since you just did the same thing.  You took a post, where I explained why I can't seem to care about this insignificant issue...the lack of support...and tried to make it sound like I said I was happy.

My right to post is important to me, though only minorly so, so, when I am told that my opinion is irrelevant, something I have never told those that are upset, I will respond vociferously.

No need to get upset or going in an incontrable rage over this... You don't care we get it, no need to post it a thousands time in a thread about the lack of support. Of course it's your right to post even if this is less than constructive... When I don't care about something, I usually don't waste my time posting about it (maybe it's the reason why I've 9065 post less than you and we are here since more or less the same date). But, to quote you, that's just me I guess.

For a guy who is so expert to decipher people message maybe you should have notice that firstly my replied wasn't about you in the first place... The fact you decided to go over the top with this is incredibly idiotic, there is a big difference between being happy about a situation and having an happy life... You are a parser as you said so often so use your talent and stop making a comment sound like something it wasn't...
