Hi there,

I already tried to flag only one single dvd, even a single UK or US one (because of special characters ("Umlaute")). All the same.

The export settings where "Only flagged", the default limits and "Verbose" and "Save log to disk". I tried "Use removable disk" and "No Device (manual copy)".

My DVD Profiler is running in english on a german Windows 7 Home.
The Android versions on the devices are all german. Maybe I can try to switch one of them to english this evening.
I will report on this then.

Greetings, mjoelner

Ok, also when you do you flag 1 DVD and export it, also have it save log to disc, that willhelp Oliver to figure out where the issue might be.

Try it with 0 cast and crew as well as with lets say 5 and 5 and see what you get.

I would try one of teh devices in English as a check.

I really wish I could remember what Oliver told me a while back about his devel box, as he is in Belgium he could be running English, French, German ete but I doubt he has an issue with languages on his set up.

I guess I am lucky only knowing Latin and poor US English :D

Hi,

tried all the stuff again with the language of my HTC Legend set to English (US). The crash is still there.
I also tried the stuff as you said with 0 cast and crew. Then with 5, then with unlimited.

I zipped the last debug output and the database (without the images, size is 7 kb). I could post it if someone knows how to do this. I can't find an option for this in the forum.

Maybe you (RobAGD) could post a working example with one entry from your installation which I could test on my device.

This way we could perhaps isolate the problem to export plugin or app.

ok here is 1 dvd with actors,

the zip has directories http://www.robagd.com/DVDP/misc/Droid_DVDP-test.zip  not too sure why its 2mb though

database-->droid_dvdp.db

images--> 27616675729f.jpg
-----------> 27616675729b.jpg
------------>thumbnails
------------------------------------>27616675729b.jpg
------------------------------------>27616675729f.jpg

I also put in the debug.txt

just dump the files into the correct folders on your sdcard

Hi,

thank you RobAGD for providing the files. I tried it and have the same crash with your database. So I think it has to do something with the app itself.

Just to be sure, I compared the debug output too. But there was no significant difference.

The size of the database did confuse me too. If you delete the file before the export, the result will be a few kb only in size. Looks to me that there is a little bug in the export plugin.

Hope this will help Oliver a little bit.
If there is more that I can do, just tell me.

Hi all

Great app, got it installed and working on an HTC Desire BUT when I try to click on a movie this appears:

'Sorry! the application Droid DVDP(process com.ksoft.droid_dvdP) has stopped unexpectedly.  Please Try again.  Force close.

I can sort and change it to covers.  In about the version I have is Beta 0.3

Thanks in advance.

Guys,

I have it working on a Evo 4G and a Asus Transformer TF101 with no issues.

I deleted my DB and images and made a full on render on both devices and no issues.

It has to be something local to you guys that is breaking something.

On my transformer because it is ICS I use an external MicroSD card and have DVDP export to that and then copy the files to the internal storage. No issues.

The Evo I can do as a disc drive or through ADB without issue.

Something in your collections or export settings is the issue.

All I can offer at this time is to play with settings and see what works for your phone/device

Hello all,

The alpha test is done, and I'm launching the application in public beta now. I call it still beta, because there may be problems with the plugin install and incompatibilites on the android devices.

Visit here : www.olivier-detry.be/ddvdp

Merry christmas to all of you.

Please note that I'm doing this in my free time, so I'll react as soon as I can.

Also, please don't use cracked version of Invelos' DVD Profiler. Buy it and register it. We all need Invelos to stay alive and running the database.

Olivier.

I can't download android application on your site with firefox because of AVAST protection.

A quick test only with ten flagged dvds.

- Synchronisation with ADB is OK

- Display in mode list is ok (with pictures)

- Selecting one dvd gives a black screen, stopping application and after a long time, rebooting my phone.

Hi again,

yesterday I received my new Samsung Galaxy Nexus. My first device with ICS (4.02). Of course I tried the DroidDVDP again.
Unfortunately the problem with the crashing app after tapping on a DVD entry still exists. I also tried it again with Roberts sample file, same crash here.
So for me the problem remains the same. Things I can rule out:
- The problem is not with the export plugin or the data created there as the problem still exists with Rob's database
- The problem is not related to the Andriod version as I tested several devices with Gingerbread and now ICS.
- Changing the language in the phones settings (to US English) does not help.

If someone has more ideas what to check, please tell me. I'm ready to test.

BTW: Is there some kind of verbose mode of the application to find out at which point the crash occurs?

Greetings, Ben

this app seems not to be mooved to external sd card.

But is it possible to put database and thumbnails on the external sd card because of the important size of theses files ?
