Of course any corrections and comments are welcome [for image see VirusPil's last post]
Just checked again with Google and the existing shows up, not actress. Something to correct or am I wrong? Like Bfd245 wrote, the headshots are correct. There's an actor Jamie Parker (with accepted BY 1979) and an actress Jamie Julia Parker, but solely credited as Jamie Parker. And both headshots are included in my update. But thanks for bringing it up, always good to question! | | | 1.0.1, iPhone 3GS, iOS 4.1.0

| Posted: | | | | Great stuff in these new additions, but it's still stunning to see how many duplicates there are in the headshots database. Just a few I've spotted in these new additions alone - sometimes up to four name variants for the same person:
- 50 Cent// and 50//Cent - John Dunn and John C.C. Dunn - Hans Jürgen Tögel and Hans-Jürgen Tögel - Thom Yorke and Thomas Yorke - Piolin, Piolín, Eddie "Piolin" Sotelo and Eddie 'Piolin' Sotelo - Marijam Agischewka and Marijan Agischewka - Alicja Bachleda and Alicja Bachleda-Curus - Helena Bonham-Carter and Helena Bonham Carter - Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott, Missy 'Misdemeanor' Elliott and Missy (Misdemeanor) Elliott - Jan Gregor Kremp and Jan-Gregor Kremp - Ruth/Maria/Kubitschek, Ruth Maria//Kubitschek and Ruth-Maria Kubitschek - Lara/Joy/Körner and Lara Joy//Körner - Jens/Peter/Nünemann and Jens Peter//Nünemann - Oscar Sanchez and Oscar Ortega Sanchez - Eva/Ingeborg/Scholz and Eva Ingeborg//Scholz - Alexander Klaus Stecher and Alexander-Klaus Stecher | | | Last edited: by T!M |

| Posted: | | | | I thought about removing duplicates but have erred on the side of caution with the chance that profiles exist with the incorrect version.
I can see how to determine 50 Cent// and 50//Cent - the former is correct - but something like "Thom Yorke" and "Thomas Yorke"? If I remove one and not all profiles are updated with the most common credit, then someone out there could get out-of-sync images where Thom Yorke and Thomas Yorke have different photos.
Not as easy as it sounds. |

| Posted: | | | | Advantage of having no duplicates: Sometimes a hint for a common name. Disadvantage: Empty headshots sometimes, if you just add as credited or copy a profile. Empty headshots if common name changes. But on some double entries like T!M's 50 Cent example or Eva Ingeborg Scholz I agree of course that it would be the best to delete one (if possible the wrong) entry. But this could be much work. I would also post my HS file, but I think it would be too much work too bring it into the wished format, still starting bringing all my profiles on a good level, so there are still some unaccepted Birth Years in it, some out-of-sync images, ... and some nudity. But I think I've also some new HS or improvments, if someone will make a check, I'll upload the file. |

| Posted: | | | | If I remove bad entries such as 50//Cent or even less-credited names, the consequence is that I'll no longer be able to accept full databases where I accept only new entries. Those I remove are quite likely to just show back up again in the future.
Opinions? |

It makes it easier for people to realise that they have duplicate entries and hopefully correct their cast lists. Sure, in a perfect world we could just delete them know, because all profiles would be a 100% perfect, but we'll never get there. |

I'll try to submit one or both BYs ASAP. And thanks for checking, VirusPil! I submitted the BY for the actor in Valkyre (1979) yesterday . Let's see if it gets accepted. | | | Last edited: by VirusPil |
