No, they wouldn't, and I resent the implication that I would. You say yourself that you submitted it with documentation. I didn't say people would, I said people could. Huge difference. Also, I didn't imply anything. No need to be sensitive. Quote: If it matched, say IMDB, and NO documentation, that is a different beast altogether. If you're going to shoot yourself in the foot, don't try to blame me for pulling the trigger. Isn't that what I said? I originally said it was 'and', you originally said it was 'and/or'. Again, huge difference. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. I can very easily determine that answer to most any title that is in my database, I can tell you the dates that data was Contributed, who it was, and the Notes that went with it. All I have to do is open my still retained 2.5, which I keep active for exactly this reason.
Skip That all assumes that the V3.0 initial contributor didn't do anything to verify the data from teh 2.5 source or even for sure that it was just resubmitted 2.5 data. I suspect in most instances that was the case but had they done a full audit or verified any material from reliable sources we would never know since they couldn't add notes. |

Isn't that what I said? I originally said it was 'and', you originally said it was 'and/or'. Again, huge difference. Well, you said using my logic they could. Now, if it's MY logic involved, then that implies that I would do that "if I could." Maybe you didn't intend it to mean that, but that's the way it comes across. As for the rest, the key is documentation. If the data is correct and you can prove it, it doesn't matter whether or not its from a third party - if they got it right, good on them! Maybe they used the same sources you did? On the other hand, if there IS NO documentation, it doesn't matter how good the data is, or where it came from, you can't use it. | | | John
