It was correct. Simple as that. |

| Posted: | | | | And you withdrew your contribution due to lack of support. It's the same I would do in this occasion. I find it astonishing that some users know or think they know everything and yet they only use their knowledge to defend the online database from "bad" data instead of contributing something themselves. | | | Martin Zuidervliet

| Posted: | | | | To be honest Martin, I would have let the contribution run its course....if it wasn't for the fact that the ONLY votes were from the 3 NO people.
On their initial contribution 5 other people voted YES...but, those 5 people chose to not vote on the re-submission (or voted neutral).
It didn't see that there would be a chance in hell that the contributions would go through with NO votes only; especially considering who the NO votes were from. |

I understand what you feel, and I found the solution. I never get No votes on my contributions... Some people here consider the online database as their exclusive property. Each time they can vote No on something interesting, they do, even if it is obvious that the contribution is interesting (as for common sense). Twisting rules when that is good for them, and claiming rules must not be interpreted in other cases. They prefer an empty database than a good one made by others than them... After that everyone can do what he wants... | | | Images from movies |

| Posted: | | | | I think everyone is here contributing to the online Database. The rules are there for some reason, at some time those where guidelines: that did not work. It is normal when contributions occur these questions or arguments come in to play.
It is not so nice pushing people in to the 'not contributors corner' because they disagree with you. | | | Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. On smaller countrires, it worked fine, with contributors who just wanted to share their work, and did it making a fine job . Now, those are very few... I will not say again that titles as 300, Fur, Death Proof, Die Hard 4 or Spiderman 3 have not yet been contributed in France... If Ken is not worried about it, I suppose he has his reasons... | | | Images from movies |

| Posted: | | | | I don't see the problem. If you want to contribute you follow the rules. If you're in the Uk you drive on the Left side of the road, If you're in Europe you drive at the Right side of the road. There is no inbetween: we would all be driving in the middle of the road. | | | Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. | Posted: | | | | Again and some more, Surfeur? What you fail to understand is that if you violate the Rules in your Region it affects every other user EVERYWHERE. It throws off the data on Actors and Crew and makes the Credit Lookup results worthless. So NO it never worked the way you think it did. Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. | Posted: | | | | I'm sorry, but in the "guidelines period" there wasn't a Credit Lookup tool. So it could not have affected other regions. And "violating the rules" is also not possible if there aren't any. | | | Martin Zuidervliet

You don't seem to understand that surfeur wants the Rules, not Invelos way but his way. Thank God he has given up Contributing, or so he says, I would prefer to have him Contribute but not HIS way. We have a big enough mess. Not only can one user make a mess that affects everybody else, now let's make it worse. User A sets up a credit list of his own creation and gets away with it, you create a Profile for your area using his approved bogus data, so now we have double the bad data. If you don't belkieve it look up someone simple like Robert Downey, Jr. and Robert Downey Jr and look at all the crossover titles that exist uunder both names, yet we are to rely on such data to create a valid alias. yeah...right. Unfortunately this happens all too frequently, and the reason that "small" areas can do this is because they have a user like surfeur who either doesn't understand or doesn't care and there are not enough users involved to help police that user.

It was correct. Simple as that. In your opinion. Not everybody agrees. Which is why you got 'no' votes. I am still not sure why such a big fuss was made over this. As I said before, if it had been me, I would have included her, 'for contribution purposes', then removed her from my local. No muss, no fuss. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. I am realizing that I am the main cause of the mess in the online database. I could do that with no contribution in the last six monthes... and no vote on any contribution. I didn't knew I could be so harmful... I apologize to everyone and to Ken for all this mess... | | | Images from movies |
