Cannot find titles when they are spelled "as on the cover"
Overviews are horrible with advertising, spoilers, bold , italics, and sometimes typos
Cast, studios,crew don't link
Crew are a complete mess
Covers are sometimes prehistoric (Warner boxes)

and many very interesting data (headshots, screencaptures) are not in the online and must be shared by other ways.

Now, to make a "good" profile takes as much time as to rebuilt everything from scratch

The program makes a fantastic job when used in local, but suffers from online data elaborated by rules based on a wrong basis : rules where made to avoid pingponging, but forgot the intelligent and practical aspects. What can justify to keep typos (and not just in overviews : names, roles...)? How "as from the DVD" data can have a chance to link properly?

Yes, the online is quite "useless", it just allows people who do not care about their data to have them without having anything to work on. But as they do not care, I'm not sure they would not prefer more profiles than less "per the rules" profiles... The dramas about contribution notes (with some users requesting encyclopedies) are significative of the short seeing of those who think that their hobby about "per the rules" data (nothing wrong with that hobby, of course), have any interest for others...

Sheesh, the program will always have some things that could, in the eyes of some be better but...please give it a rest.
It does sound like maybe..just maybe you are beginning to figure out the functtion of the Local vs. the online.<fingers crossed> that will be a miracle in and of itself.
