| Posted: | | | | well, ahh, this might sound stupid, but i have been a member without knowing it. i have had this db for some time now but just used it for my own personal db,, i actually thought that the online portion was only to back up my existing db which it does, but i never knew about forums, contributing , other than dvd covers hear and there which it prompted me to ask to do, but now i know how to get into the forums thanks to some good friends... i definately am not a newbie to dvd, and have been researching the dvd release dates since 1999 i guess from my found notes. I am a 40 yr old American living in the state of Maine.. aahhhh yeeppppp a Mainnnnna! Can you believe a actually found a dvd player to purchase in the state of Maine back in May 1997. Thought i would have to wait for the new millenium but i lucked out. Married with twin boys who love action but more into scary movies which i have to keep an eye on cause they are only 3 & 1/2 years old. gonna be like there old man about movies i bet....
Oh, and update,, i just checked my contributions and out of 10 so far 9 of them got accepted,,, yeah, only one that got denied was Stargate, which is odd cause that one had a really bad release date from 1998 when it really came out in June 1997... oh well, it works though, wish we well with the other ones... thanks, to all who have supported me. | | | Last edited: by lexusrx |

| Posted: | | | | I have only read the original posting about the release date being tuesday and so on. In Norway The release date is on wednesdays.(altough it happenes from time to time that other days are used too). I just had an idea about what could have happened with this data . Could it be that the user who's changing this data is actually not based in usa and that some websites has different releasedates based on wich region of the world they are from? or: Maybe there is a restriction on the international sites that they can only start to sell the movies 24 hours after the national us sites? I do not know if this makes sense, but I tougth I should toss out the idea just to speculate a bit. I know that the retailers in norway are getting a fit from the online competition and are trying, desperatly I Might add, to stop the purchase over the net. espescially the movies from uk and us. | | | Jon has recently watched these movies:

Good for you Norway is part of the European Economic Area and so i guess it would be hard to stop that practice. | | | Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. | Posted: | | | | Does anyone besides me remember that If It's Tuesday This Must Be Belgium was based on a TV documentary about those 21-day, 21-country tours that were popular in the 60s and 70s? I think it was on NBC, but I wouldn't swear to it. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges.
