| | Posted: | | | | Wanted to establish the common names for sound crew Father and Son Al Overton Jr. and Sr. At least in my local, there seems to be a bit of overlap between the two as they were both active during the same time period at one point. I'm going by IMDB here to distinguish between the credits they have in the system as it seems to be the most complete info out there that I can find (most other sites that list them only list very few of their selected filmography). So if anyone sees a credit they know is listed under the wrong person (or knows or has any other credits) please let me know!  If the common names end up different, no worries. If they end up the same, a Birth Year will need to be established for one of them to distinguish between them. I've checked the common name thread and saw no thread for these guys (and also checked for a birth year and couldn't find one), so if there is one or the other already established, could someone point me in their direction? | | Posted: | | | | I know that participation in common name threads is much lower than it used to be, so worked my butt off to confirm as many titles as I could find for the son, Al Overton, Jr. His common name is indeed Al Overton, Jr. so no birth year will be needed to distinguish between the father and the son, just the common name. Even if the two credits in question turn out to be for him, the closest variant couldn't catch up (could only have 21 credits to Al Overton's 22 credits). So we officially have a common name for both father and son! Appreciate everyone that contributed their time and help!
