| Posted: | | | | I think I know the answer to this, but I'm doing a contribution for a movie called Gnome Alone ( ) and at the end of the main credits there's one for Additional Scenes Written and Directed by. Does this person get credited or not? This comes before the director's credit. |

Quentin Tarantino is credited in Sin City and I believe he was credited as 'Guest Director'... | | | HDTV: 52" Toshiba Regza 52XV545U AVR: Onkyo TR-707 Speakers: Paradigm Monitor 7 v6, CC-190 & Atom Monitors Subwoofer: Definitive Technology ProSub 800 BD/DVD: Oppo BDP-93 (Region Free) HD PVR: Motorola DXC3400 500GB w/ 1TB Expander BD/DVD/Game: 250GB PS3 Slim DVD/Game: 250GB XBox 360 Elite Special Edition (Black) Game: Wii Remote: Logitech Harmony One w/ PS3 Adapter WHS: Acer H341 Windows Home Server |

Would be incorrect, except for the "Recut"-version where (if I recall correctly) Tarantino is credited as "Director" for the episode he directed. So did the Director of the "Underwater Unit" I suppose some people are straight on their way to shoehorn anything in. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Additional Crew should not be contributed. But there have been additional crew contributed and accepted into the database. Sooner or later someone removes it. |

So did the Director of the "Underwater Unit" "Additional Scenes Written and Directed by" does not look like a unit crew credit to me. I'm not familiar with this film but some movies do have multiple writers and directors. --------------- |

I have multiple different profiles of Sin City. Canada DVD UPC 065935-220770 - Sin City: It has QT listed as Director, only has one version listed for this profile. Canada Blu-ray UPC 065935-827313 - Frank Miller's Sin City: Special Edition - Has QT listed under Theatrical as well as in the Episode "The Big Fat Kill" So while your version of Sin City may not include QT as director for the theatrical cut, I have two approved profiles that do have him listed. Apology accepted. Quoting Lewis_Prothero: Quote: I suppose some people are straight on their way to shoehorn anything in. How is he trying to 'shoehorn' anything in? --------------- either does Additional Music by, Additional Re-recording mixer, Additional Editing by, Additonal Visual Effects, let one Additional and you let all Additional in. Then we can contribute every crew role that meets the credit grid under an Additional Photography header. |

--------------- just wish the line would quit moving. How do you know that the OP isn't for a reshoot of a scene or additional photography? For me additonal is enough to not be contributed. |

| Posted: | | | | It is not possible to credit someone for "additional scenes", which is why I would not enter them in a way that would seem to elevate them to main writers and directors. Imo, it's better to leave some things out than enter misleading data that can not be interpreted unless you have the real screen credits in front of you. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

Well, in fairness, that's what the contribution notes are for. DoubleDownAgain: As far as why, I'm just not comfortable with doing so... |
