| Posted: | | | | I decided to pick up the android version so I know what movies I have when I'm out and about.
I've able to sync the databases (have for about a week or so) but I haven't seen the extra "icon" linked here on the forums... where can I see my android profile registration info to enter it here on the site? |

| Posted: | | | | It means that you cannot enter and/or see your Android-App license info anywhere from this site since the license can only be verified through the shop where it was originally bought. Quote: I bought the android app via google play, so it's my account. Exactly. And GooglePlay is in no way related to Invelos. Other than the Windows program which you buy directly from Invelos the distribution of the Android-App is exclusively to GooglePlay and Amazon. They, and only they have the license-info to your bought product. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | You should think of the Invelos account as a single account that covers all apps, so there is no registration info that's specific to the iOS or Android apps to be entered onto this site.
As for the icons on the left of posts then there isn't one for the android app, Ken only created icons for the main program and Windows mobile version. Maybe it's something to do with the fact these two were bought direct from the site, whereas the iOS and Android verions are bought via their respective stores, or maybe he just didn't feel it really added any value. | | | IVS Registered: January 2, 2002 |

Hence, if don't own the app you can't perform the check and you can't use the app. | | | Last edited: by rdodolak |

| Posted: | | | | And so what? Invelos still doesn't have the required license data and I'm quite sure that from the mere download of the Online-Collection, neither the server, nor Invelos, would be able to tell if the access came from DVDP-W, DVDP-A or DVDP-I.
BTW: Assuming that any access to an online-collection can only come from a legit installation is ... hm, somewhat optimistic. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | In the end it's ONLY an icon ... if someone could find a way around the system and go through all that effort/trouble just for an icon (assuming Invelos implemented that feature of course ) they might as well keep the icon. EDIT: When interacting with the online database, Invelos could easily send data to the server, from the app, identifying which app is communicating with it. | | | Last edited: by rdodolak |

| Posted: | | | | Didn't mean to start such a discussion/debate. Was just curious if I could get my little icon on the forums. Have to say, the fan base for this software is amazing! |

And build something into the desktop program to identify it for those of us that synch to that? Going with the idea its really not not worth the effort. | | | IVS Registered: January 2, 2002 |

You mean pirated apps and a way to get around the license check? If someone acquires the app from unapproved sources then they might as well not get the icon. |
