| Posted: | | | | I recently contributed a cast correction for a DVD, where the cast credits look like this: In addition to correcting a typo in a cast member's name, I removed a group divider ("Deputies") from the cast list, and instead gave each cast member his individual "Deputy" credit, as seen in the actual cast credits. My changes were as follows: However, I received a No vote with the following comment: "Group divider is correct as it stands." The No voter (who made the original contribution) claims he was following the contribution rules by adding the group divider. What is the correct way to contribute this? The contribution rules say: "For any film with standard credits, take the actor information from the end credits only, with names and roles listed exactly as they are in the credits and in exactly the same order credited. " (bold types are mine) |

| Posted: | | | | I would say the No vote is incorrect as there is no group there - each actor has the role listed. | | | I don't wanna be like everyone else, that's why I'm a mod, see? |

| Posted: | | | | Since we are supposed to mirror the film credits whenever possible, there should be no divider in this case since they are in fact individuallly credited. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

| Posted: | | | | In the rules under the Dividers:
Use Group dividers to designate cast grouped in the credits such as "Soldiers" or "Additional Cast".
These credits are not grouped so they should be listed individually as the credits show. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |

| Posted: | | | | The No voters are wrong. The group divider was wrong.
I've had to vote no on several contributions where people have inserted group dividers where there are none. Unless it explicitly states Deputies rather than three separate entries for Deputy we leave it as it is. | | | Last edited: by GreyHulk |

| Posted: | | | | Agree with the others. No "grouped cast" in credits, so no divider in DVDProfiler.
EDIT: You may want to edit your contribution notes and provide a link to your screenshot to backup your contribution. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

EDIT: You may want to edit your contribution notes and provide a link to your screenshot to backup your contribution. Thanks, I have done that now. I don't think it will change the mind of the No voter, though, as he was the one who made the original contribution, so he knows what the credits look like. | | | Last edited: by Behemot |

| Posted: | | | | What flick is that BTW? I recognized a dog actor named Zeus from Rottweiler, but this isn't that by the human cast. IMDB says there many Zeus' in Hollywood. |

| Posted: | | | | As others has said your contribution is right. I have fixed many of these myself... but never seen a no vote for doing so... not even from the original contributor. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Just another agreement, you change is correct. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free. - Citizen G'Kar |

| Posted: | | | | Agreed with all of the above. The group divider was wrong, and the no voter is wrong. They are all individual roles (not grouped) based on that screenshot of the credits. A group divider wouldn't even be valid there per rules — not to mention the fact that it was spelled incorrectly to begin with. | | | Corey |
