| Posted: | | | | Quoting Devion27: Picture Editors = Film Editors -> Yes Head Writer = Writer -> Yes Title Song and Music Score By = Composer -> Two credits: Song Writer and Composer Title Song Preformed By = Theme By -> No entry Created for Televison By = ? -> Created By (but some may disagree here) Re-Recording Engineer = Sound Re-Recording Mixer -> Technically "Yes", personally I'd enter them only if no "real" SRRM is credited Title Song By = Theme By -> Song Writer Music Score By = Composer -> Yes | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Everything but Title Song Performed By looks OK to me. | | | My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT. FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that. Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it! |

Re-recording Mixer, Sound Mixing, Principal Sound Mixer, Sound Re-recording, Sound Re-recording Engineer, Sound Re-recordist, Dubbing Mixer = Re-recording Mixer some may not have the "sound" in front of them but if they are listed within the sound credits, I see no problem. | | | Last edited: by ateo357 |

| Posted: | | | | I agree Picture Editor is fine as 'Film Editor' as long as there is no Film Editor present in the credits.
Picture Editor and Video Editor are two more that I feel should be in the rules table.
Although, having said that, Doctor Who often has both Film Editor and Video(tape) Editor meaning two different things but they're both editing the footage. | | | Last edited: by GreyHulk |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting Corne: Quote: I agree, but the same applies for Picture Editor, or just Editor without Picture... What is a Picture Editor? I've just done a google search and nothing comes up - unless you want to count someone who manipulates photographs. I strive not to add words to roles. Therefore, 'Picture' precludes the inclusion of this role. Whereas 'Re-recording Engineer' is within the SOUND section and therefore is linked. If we had a 'Picture' section within the rules and 'Editor' was listed beneath then this entry would be fine. However, we don't have a 'picture' section so we don't include it. At least that's how I look at this sort of thing. 'Added words' in a role usually mean I leave them out. For example: On Set Special Effects Supervisor, or Additional Music Score, or Optical Photographic Effects. The rules are not definitive, and as such I do feel a certain amount of common sense is required; and this is how I decide on these things. However, as always, if everyone else thinks these roles should be included then I don't have a problem with that. We can start a poll/thread and then ask Ken to put it in the rules chart. |
