| Posted: | | | | Good Day, Sirs,
in a thread about heavy contributors fellow user MickySpoon (formerly known as Comicer) ignored me by writing:
"I know many users who are frustrated and stressed out of this lovely man and stopped contributing."
I'd like to examine the truth of MickySpoon's statement. Would the users who stopped contributing because I frustrated them and stressed them out sign in, please?

| Posted: | | | | Count me in too.
Not you alone, but in cooperation with another user.
EDIT: What irritates me even more is that you seem to be proud of getting such reactions. Or why else was this thread started? | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

They didn't ignore you if they wrote something. As far as the rest of this post is concerned: If someone is rude or insulting I will give negative feedback and may call them out on it. But, if I am spending time updating data I will share that information with the community. I don't let someone's actions dictate what I do. | | | Last edited: by Kathy |

I'd never let one or two stupid people take away the fun that contributing can be. And most times you only hear from these two people, but not from the 100+ people that are thankful for your contributions. |

| Posted: | | | | Don't know if it was your complaining or not. But I just voted on 15 with BY added. Thanks. I think all avalible BY should be used, whether there are needed or not.
And if I quit contributing, it will be because I moved on to a new hobby. Not because one of the many trolls who do nothing but complain or just vote no on contributions or talk about what they did 5 or 10 years ago bother me. |

| Posted: | | | | I reduced my contributions because the online rules were no longer compatible with my local database, not because of some user. I still make changes almost daily to my data, but I only contribute a small fraction of it because I'm not interested in doing the work twice. |

Nor do I vote or correct any profiles, because I didn't contribute to the author's birth, adopt them or responsible for their rearing, lack of potty training or good manners.. | | | We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own. Well statements as this always puzzle me. If you (and I don't mean only Ace, I read similar statements) don't like the cast/crew-system then why do you stop contributing completely? There is still so much one can do. cya, Mithi PS Although it should be beside the point: I don't care for cast/crew enough to jump to all those hoops so I just leave them be. cya, Mithi I have always found the nuances of language interpretation to be fun to observe: "I quit contributing much because the ..." no comma lead to a some ambiguity. "I quit contributing, much because the ..." mithi's original interpretation. "I quit contributing much, because the ..." Ace's actual meaning. That's why civil discourse requires a bit of tolerance and patience, and cutting the other guy a bit of slack. That little exchange was a classic example of the way it is supposed to work, and I enjoyed seeing it play out. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here.
