| Posted: | | | | Hi, Tried syncing for first time and it connects and runs through the 'read database' fine - as soon as it gets to copying profiles, I get this: There was an error synchronising: *** _ [NSPlaceholderMutableStringinitWithString:] nil argument Any advice? Just paid for the app and cannot use it at all |

| Posted: | | | | I have tried everything to get my more than 3000 titles to sync first time to my iPhone and it has failed just before getting to images. I have repaired my database a few times restarted both my PC and iPhone and it always throw the mentioned error at the same point.
I can see most my my titles transferred over including my notes watched dates etc but no images since it didn't went that far. Is there a way I can refresh or redownload the covers for those transferred over. Right now there is no option to redownload an entry. You have to delete then download again which means I lose all my notes etc. |

| Posted: | | | | I have reinstalled the app a few times and still no go. I have restored my database on the PC and tried again and I still get the error. I am not going to be entering manually ALL my collection again so I'll wait till this is resplved. What a dissappointment. |

| Posted: | | | | There are a couple of known issues that will cause a crash in synching: If you add a user on the ios device or if you have a DVD in your collection on that has a front image and no back image (that specifically crashes when transferring the images over). | | | Invelos Software, Inc. | Posted: | | | | mine doesn't 'crash' - it just says it can't sync. then I press ok. and it takes me back to the main page and asks me if I would like to sync. |

| Posted: | | | | Saqib, Kensong, try to create a minimal database with just a few profiles. You can do this by flagging a few profiles and backup the database and select the flagged items option. Then load profiler with this database and try syncing that. This way we might be able to determine if its the syncing process itself or maybe one or more profiles that cause the crash or in Kensong's case that the process is not even started... |

| Posted: | | | | it works fine for the small database of 2-3 profiles.
as soon as I try connecting to my normal one, the same error message comes up.
has it got something to do with my files that don't have an assigned collection number maybe? |

| Posted: | | | | You might try creating a back up of half of your collection (you can flag them and then export flagged), then restore into a new database in the desktop version, and see if that synchs. It could be that there is some data in one of the profiles that the program is not handling correctly. Presumably, if you keep splitting your database in half, then you should be able to figure out what the issue is.
Or you can also try emailing me or posting a back up of your collection without any images and we might be able to diagnose it here.

| Posted: | | | | Just wondering if you had tried changing the port for the connection for the sync. I had same problem but when I changed the port it seemed to fix the problem. I also had over 3000 entries but mine did transfer over and working fine. It did take quite a while to get started. One other thing is if you have your phone or i-pod set to power down after a certain time turn this to never off while you do the sync. |

| Posted: | | | | 1 - changed port - no luck 2 - removed profiles which did not have a collection number - no luck 3 - standby mode disabled - still no luck.
Any ideas? |
