| Posted: | | | | Did you open an empty database? Please check in profiler menu open database. Is there another db? Do you have a backup?
If not, you can download your online collection into the profiler! Menu Online/DVD Profiler online! | | | Thorsten | | | Last edited: by kahless |

| Posted: | | | | Maybe a new database was created by accident. Try going to File -> Open ... to see if it shows you're original database.
By any chance, you didn't restore from a Windows restore point prior to the installation of DVDProfiler did you? |

and i didn't make a backup The file (or better the complete folder) is located in your "My Documents" folder and is named "DVD Profiler\Databases\Default\". Check if it really isn't there For restoring your database you can go to DVDProfiler menu "Online -> DVD Profiler Online ..." and choose "Download". This will restore your database as of Sept. 23rd (last upload of yours) but not any custom images (Cast, crew, cover). | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! Please help Couple of more suggestions: (1) See if there is a system restore point back in time when you had good data. Restore points don't usually affect data, but perhaps there was some other damage that has occurred (e.g. registry). (2) Are you sure that you are not signed on as a different user than before? Each user will see their own copy of the data. If you are in administrative mode, try searching all other user DVD Profiler folders. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. | Posted: | | | | Quoting moviebuff2: Quote: thanks for all the responses but unfortunately they didn't work You can't restore your collection from the Online (currently 3.255 titles in your collection)??? This is supposed to work under nearly all circumstances. So if the download doesn't work it sounds like a more severe problem to me. Please uninstall DVDProfiler completely and reinstall afterwards. Download your online collection again. Please come up again and tell us if that worked. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! Please come up again and tell us if that worked. I downloaded my collection this morning and everything is ok. The only thing that sucks is that I was in the process of putting trailer links on all my discs and now that's gone. Frustrating. | | | Life comes from within your heart and desire - Eddie Vedder |

| Posted: | | | | I really think the defrag did something. I was going to load a different layout and found that all my layouts were gone too. I did a search on my computer and there were two files for DVD profiler. One under program files and one under google something something. ???? I tried combining them and all it did was cause it to crash and run slow. So i deleted it all together and reinstalled it. So far so good. | | | Life comes from within your heart and desire - Eddie Vedder |

Was the defrag interrupted by some other process (screensaver / suspend to disc)? | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
