I own many DVD's I never watched. I don't remember the buying reason for every DVD. So, I'm asking myself if I'm the only crazy collector here! | | | Thorsten |

| Posted: | | | | I buy my dvd's to watch, but finding the time to do so is another thing.
Although this year I am trying to focus on watching a lot of my unwatched dvd's. |

| Posted: | | | | There used to be a time when the new bought DVDs were watched the very same evening. Shortly after I bought DVDProfiler this changed to "the very same week" slowly passed over to "some day in this month" and obviously seems to end up "some day soon, I hope".
Reasons for this: So many interesting DVDs I'd like to have and watch and so little time to watch them all. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Is there a quick way with the mouse to find this? ,, I ran a data base query and there is nothing to find this against all titles flagged.. Or do you have to check each title'e history?? seems redundant. Question should have read in percentage too . | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Go to the filters tab named "personal" and check "unwatched" EDIT: Man, I'd really love to meet one these collectors with more than 500 unwatched DVDs. I don't even own that many, but since my "unwatched" are about 5% of my collection, I think the rest is just a matter of collection sizes. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! (over 32%) .. BUT i see there are a lot of my titles that I have seen either last week , last year or ten years ago.. So I think I'll ignore this poll as it wouldn't be fair to you or myself to try and guess this. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. | Posted: | | | | I have quite a few unwatched...mainly because of time issues. I always PLAN to watch, but then something comes up and I don't get to it. But yet, I'm always finding great deals! I never buy full price, but when one comes up on my to buy list at a good deal, I'll grab it and it gets added to the pile. Plus sometimes, rather than watching something new, I feel like watching an old favorite, so I have some that I've watched several times while others just sit until I'm in the right mood to watch them. | | | Lori |

| Posted: | | | | Hmmm ... well, on the one hand I have a lot of unwatched DVDs. But not having watched the DVD and not having seen the movie are two different things. I have movies I've seen previously but haven't yet watched the DVD, having bought the DVD because I knew I'd want to watch the movie again sometime. Working in a DVD shop (okay multi-media entertainment shop ... but most of the sales are in DVDs) has put me in a position where I pick up a lot more DVDs than I have time to watch right now. I look at it from the perspective of thinking that I won't always work at the shop and have this opportunity - so I should take advantage of it while I can! I'm stocking DVDs for the future. (Maybe I shouldn't think this way ... these aren't canned goods, I'm not stocking a bomb shelter here ... ) | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |

| Posted: | | | | I should point out as well, when the wrapper comes off my DVD it always goes into my DVD Rom for disc ID compatibility as well as running times and other criteria I am looking for, in order to properly calibrate the disc for DVD profiler.. plus I take a quick check for sound and picture as well as the menu options and eggs.. Do I watch the entire movie at this point?, not really, but does this quality for for 'watched' or not. My list as I pointed out in the posting here above- I said 32%,, but if I count the 'disc watched' even for a few minutes, then my list drops dramatically to maybe 1% or even zero percent. BUT my 'checked box and date is, like I said totally out of whack and not up to date. Perhaps that should be the direction of this thread... | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.
