| Posted: | | | | hey guys,
Got a question concerning From Dusk Till Dawn and Sin City Blu-rays.
Both have ALLIANCE as media company entered in the database, which is of course correct. Now i was updating the Sin City profile and I saw also Dimension Home Video on the back cover. I added this as 2nd media company. I got 9 Yes votes and 1 NO vote so far.
I am in personal message with the NO voter. He says Dimension Home Video should not be listed as a media company for Sin City. he says they are only licensing the film.
But I think if they are on the back cover they should be enetered and I also think that Dimension Home Video produces and Distributes media, Dimension Films is the licensing part of the company.
I would be glad for any input on that.

| Posted: | | | | Hihi, that NO was from me. Dimension is only the license holder but has nothing to do with the release itself. The same would apply to the US disc, Buena Vista is the release company, Dimension just owns the film. |

| Posted: | | | | Yeah but Alliance is producing the Blu-ray on their own. It's not like in the US where Dimension, BV and Disney are essentially the same company. | | | Last edited: by Peter von Frosta |

If someone doesn't like the data, they can remove it locally. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | Dimension Film(s) is a production studio. Dimension Home Video is the distribution division and not the producer as someone mentioned in a reply earlier on. | | | Cor |

Please allow me to direct to the fine print. DHV is NOT, I repeat NOT, a distributor of ANYTHING, the distributor is BVHE ALWAYS for any subsidiary oif Disney. The do produce the DVD and could be considered a label not unlike DisneyDVD, but they are NOT a distributor, they produce (manufacture) the DVD and turn it over to BVHE for distribution.

Skip I agree. But then again, the name of the field was changed to "Media Companies". The way I see it, the correct way is to add both Dimension Home Video and Buena Vista Home Entertainment, as that was the whole point by expanding this field with 3 available entries. | | | |
