| Posted: | | | | I'm currently evaluating DVD Profiler and must say that it seems to work quite nicely. One thing that I need is the ability to export my collection to a web site. I've searched the support and forum, pages looking for "export to HTML or web" but no luck as yet.
Any assistance or pointing me in the right direction would be mosy appreciated. |

| Posted: | | | | There are 2 and a half possibilites. First one is, you upload your collection to Invelos. Then it loosk a lot like this. Second one is, you install phpDVDProfiler on your own webspace. Then it loosk a lot like this. Half a possibility is that you download my DVD Profiler to HTML program. Half because it's a very simple tool and not that comfortable and not very good tested. There was a user before you who asked for this and I knitted it during lunch break. I can't remember if he ever used it. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | DJ Doena,
Thanks so very much for that great information. Based on the three options you've provided, and given that I'm very new to DVD Profiler.... I think I like the fists solution the best; at least for now.
Now I don't mean to sound totally ignorant, but how do I upload my collection to Invelos?
Thanks again. |

| Posted: | | | | You do it directly in the program, there's a menu "Online" and then "DVD Profiler Online". | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | Though please note you won't be allowed to do this unregistered with a collection of 50 DVDs or more. So if you want to try it out first, keep a small test database of less than 50 profiles to see if it suits your needs. |

| Posted: | | | | Another possibility is my Cinematic Collection Viewer. It has also an HTML Export. Here is my collection as an example how it could look like. | | |

| Posted: | | | | you can also use TomGaines Cinematic Collection Viewer. Just simply import your (or even more different) export-files into the CCViewer, then "Files>Export>Export to HTML" You can use variable Skins (and even different/optimized skins fpr episode-specific profiles) here is my current collection My HD-Media, DVDs, Laserdiscs€dit: Tom was faster | | | regards, Mad -

Any tips as where to get a cheap piece of webspace for this ? This thread has also got me interested in doing something. My cheapest option is the free web space I get from my ISP (Verizon). It works well. Maybe you get the same thing? I also use Hostmonster. Simple, easy, complete. I know there are many others of this type. I'm leaning towards installing phpDVDProfiler there. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! | Posted: | | | | Regrettably my ISP and many free webhosters do not support php sripting BTW: Maybe someday the online presentation of the collections at Invelos will be improved (Profiler Plus or so...) | | | Thorsten | | | Last edited: by kahless |

| Posted: | | | | I'm working with the CCviewer now. Almost go the export finished.
How do I get it on my webpage? Do I need to make a certain folderstructure? or is it a modified index.htm?
Edit: I've got the lycos webpage but the FTP connection keeps closing while uploading... Any tips how to solve that? | | | My DVD's

Simply transfer everything which has been generated in the folder you have given as Export Path to your webspace (including subfolders). Calling the index.html will then open up the collection. | | |

| Posted: | | | | Sending a PWD command at 20s intervals doesn't solve it. Takes quite some time to upload. It looks like the process pauses after every image it uploads PS: I tried to preview to page from my drive but it doesn't display the collection? Edit: that's probably because of the relative pathing in index2.html | | | My DVD's
