| Posted: | | | | Are the two New Line credits referring to separate entities? I don't know and would have left it alone based on that. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |

| Posted: | | | | Usually, the 'presents' part indicates the Theatrical Release Studio. I would list all three in the order given. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | I would vote for this order: 1) New Line Cinema 2) New Line Productions 3) 3 Arts Entertainment
New Line Productions is clearly referring to the production of the movie (production studio). New Line Cinema has always been the theatrical release studio. The logo at the start of the movie indicates that as well.
I don't have this DVD, so I can't check this myself. From the info given I would go for this. | | | Cor |

New Line Productions is clearly referring to the production of the movie (production studio). New Line Cinema has always been the theatrical release studio. The logo at the start of the movie indicates that as well. The wording of the credit says otherwise. As you can see below, and in the original post, the credit clearly says 'a New Line Cinema production'. This is a fairly common credit style and breaks down as follows: New Line Productions presents <--Theatrical Release Studio a New Line Cinema production <-- Primary Production Company in association with 3 Arts Entertainment <-- Secondary Production Company | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. New Line Productions presents <--Theatrical Release Studio a New Line Cinema production <-- Primary Production Company in association with 3 Arts Entertainment <-- Secondary Production Company Except that "New Line Cinema" simply isn't their production arm but their theatrical releasing arm, and "New Line Productions" isn't their theatrical release arm, but their production arm. Seeing as this is a National Lampoon's film, maybe they messed this up on purpose? Also, a quick check around the net shows that every source lists "New Line Cinema" as theatrical distributor, including sites like mpaa.org and filmratings.com... | | | Last edited: by T!M |

The credits, as they so often are, are quite clear. "A New Line Cinema production'. Now, they may have messed it up on purpose but, again, that doesn't matter. The credits, as written, mean exactly what I said they mean. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. Instead, they tell us to list the theatrical release studio first, and the production company second. Well, "New Line Cinema" is the theatrical release studio, and "New Line Productions" is the production company. I'm glad to see this is supported by the poll results. | | | Last edited: by T!M |

| Posted: | | | | I understand what T!M is saying but as others have said we need to take the information from what is shown on screen as we don't know if it was intentional or not. |
