| Posted: | | | | Hello everyone. I am yet another member from the now-defunct DVDSpot website I entered all of my collection into Profiler two weeks ago after looking it over a bit. Along with the many titles already in the database, my collection contained a few DVD's that were not yet there (or at least not the exact version that I had). So, I downloaded a similar version, made changes to match the version that I have (such as UPC, video format, etc), and chose "Never Contribute" just to get rid of that icon. I did that because I was originally not expecting to register. But now I have. So, here is my question: If I go back and make more changes to one of the titles (regardless if it existed or not in the database already) that I made previous changes to and try to submit them, will only these most recent changes be submitted or will all of them -- including the ones that I said earlier not to contribute -- be included? (A text example if this is confusing) Original database download: "Hello. I am new here." Change made, 'Never Contribute' selected: "Hello. I am new to this place." Change made, 'Contribute' selected: " Hi there. I am new to this place." Would "to this place" shown in green also be included in my submission or would only the "Hi there" change in red be? | | | If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

When you make the contribution, you'll be presented with a display of all the changes you've made, and options to pick which sections to submit. If the profile doesn't exist in the online database, the options don't show. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

| Posted: | | | | Yes it would. But when you contribute. You get to choose which parts you want to contribute. Also please familiarize yourself with the Rules before contributing to the online database. And welcome! | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | When a new UPC is submitted the first time all info allowed in the online DB is served up and you can't limit it. When you update an existing UPC you are provide with a before and after screen and can (have to) select the portions you want to submit. There will also be a field where you enter notes explaining why you are making the change(s) and to provide any supporting references. This field is there for initial submissions also and the more detail provided the better. Note also the Rules for what is valid for the online database. If you prefer different info in your database you can submit the proper stuff then modify your local database. Welcome to the dark side. Edit: off typing for a couple minutes and everyone chimes in. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! | | | Last edited: by tweeter |

And welcome! Does Invelos still have that on line questionaire to fill out before you can contribute? Not sure if they do as it has been well over 5 years that I have been here- and done that- etc., But is that questionaire still there to fill before you can contribute ??????????? | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird.
