| Posted: | | | | Ken,
can we have a confirmation box on the contribution page like we have those for all other items we contribute. (Cast, Crew, SRP, Disc-id, ...) and now one for the covers also. You contribute your updated profile with a good cover scan you think. When you upload the contribution you get the contribution page where you have to fill in the contribution notes and you realy can compare what you contribute online and now sometimes you see that your cover is not that good as the online one, color shift, sharpness of the text, ... It would be nice that you can still opt out of the cover contribution and still contribute the rest of the profile. | | | Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. IMO it would be a Feature request because the contribution is a program triggered event and is not related to the Invelos web site which is what this forum thread is related to. I would welcome this feature though . | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection | | | Last edited: by Bad Father |

| Posted: | | | | Of course you can cancel your submission and re-submit without ticking update scans. You than update your profile and you have the old scans back.
At least that's how i would do it.

| Posted: | | | | 8ballMax: once again our opinions differ paulb_99: that's how we do it. Easier and a lot less trafic the way proposed, there is gain for both sides. | | | Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. | Posted: | | | | I'd like this feature, too (and I don't care where the request belongs. ) I frequently have DVD covers that I don't want to contribute, but if they differ from what is in the online database, the tick box at the beginning of the contribution process (the very first box when it asks "Do you want to contribute covers" or something like that) is checked by default. If I forget to check it (which I did recently) my covers are contributed whether or not I wanted to send them. And I then get comments from voters like "Data okay, but images look the same to me." I don't know what the difference was between my images and those on line -- frankly I can't see any difference either -- but there must have been some technical difference between them. I never found out that I had contributed the images until I saw the comments from voters. So, I agree that it would be very useful if we could see our images vs the online ones when we see the text differences -- and be able to opt NOT to contribute them. Good idea, Giga, wherever it belongs. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges. | Posted: | | | | Agree 100%. There are times where I upload a cover, but find the differences to be too minimal to submit and have to upload again. The checkbox would solve that completely. |

I don't see how this is a proposal for the Invelos web pages? You should put thin in the feature request so it might be picked up before the next beta.. | | | Paul |

| Posted: | | | | This has nothing to do with the program. it has all to day with your browser and the internetpage that comes up when you enter you're contribution notes. You're out of the program at that point. So it is invelos webbsite at that point. | | | Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. | Posted: | | | | I agree, it's a website request and not an application request. Since the website discussion forum was added, it makes sense to put it here. |

Good idea, Giga, wherever it belongs. What I usually do if I have submitted a newer scan and want to compare them side by side,, is to go ahead and contribute with the tick box added for new scans.., then go to my data base and locate the title I just submitted., click on View Contributors under General Info/ click on View Contribution Notes/scroll down to Evaluate this contribution - click to open/ and there is the new compared to old.. BUT Do not vote at this point as this may seem tempting to do.... | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.
