| Posted: | | | | Maybe this has been discussed ... or is written somewhere .. I just have not seen it anywhere.
I have contributed some scans and in some of them when going to the voting page ... I see 2 arrows in there for rating the person who has voted.
1st ... Why is it only some people have that after their name?
2nd ... Is it something I should be doing?

| Posted: | | | | It's the new reputation system, you can rate the votes (or better the reason the user gave for his/her vote). Quote: Why is it only some people have that after their name? Perhaps the other votes were given too early to be rated. Quote: Is it something I should be doing? If you see a very good reason (like "oh I haven't thought about it"), vote green. If you see a very dumb vote (like "x" ), vote red... You don't have to vote on all votes (or at all), just the very good and the very bad ones. PS: The System was introduced here. | | | Deutsches DVD Profiler Forum: www.dvdprofiler-forum.de | | | Last edited: by SH84 |

| Posted: | | | | At number one: None of the current voters on my submissions have any icons for rating - also, none of them have been active on the forums! So I'll guess that the people that has no icons doesn't have any forum posts either...
At number two: Well, I guess that I will only be using it if people type helpful comments - or, of course, if they type crap when giving negatives... | | | The future is here. It's just not widely distributed yet. (William Gibson) |

| Posted: | | | | Voting on Contributions is also some kind of activity. But the system is very new, perhaps we should ask Ken. | | | Deutsches DVD Profiler Forum: www.dvdprofiler-forum.de |

| Posted: | | | | You can only give a reputation vote on a vote that contains a comment. That's why only certain votes have the reputation arrows. | | | ...James

I saw that when you two answered and I gave you both POSITIVES I just noticed that, so now in my Reputation page, it says Quote: In the last 30 days, 1 forum post/contribution note has received reputation feedback. Ten to one that that answers your question: If you check the votes again, I'll bet that only those who actually left a comment has the arrows! Also note that the 48-hour rule probably also applies to vote-comments... | | | The future is here. It's just not widely distributed yet. (William Gibson) |

| Posted: | | | | Not really... As I understand it, you are actually allowed to give all five votes to the same person - and perhaps even the same post?
Consider this: What if somebody had two paid accounts, and one of them got 50 or so negative points. If there was no limit, he/she could use the other account to give himself 100 positive votes... | | | The future is here. It's just not widely distributed yet. (William Gibson) |

Also note that the 48-hour rule probably also applies to vote-comments... I just looked in my reputation page and I had 1 vote too ... positive I had actually voted NO to a submission but did give what I believed was a valid reason and apparently the submittor thought so too. I think I am going to like this system. Will keep the badgering to a minimum ... | | | Antec Nine Hundred case, 4GB A-Data DDR2 800 RAM, Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe 2.66GHz, ASUS P5K-E/WIFI-AP MB, XFX GeForce 8600GT XXX 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 video card, ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT 2 Ball CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink, Seagate Barracuda 320GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s HDD, Zerodba 620W PSU, LITE-ON 20X DVD±R DVD with LightScribe SATA, Samsung CDDVDW SH-S203B SATA, Hanns-G HH281 28" monitor, Kodak ESP3250 printer, Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 speakers, Windows 7 Professional |

| Posted: | | | | Is it a Premium thing? Otherwise it would be possible to spam reputation votes... And as I said, it's only for the best / worst posts. | | | Deutsches DVD Profiler Forum: www.dvdprofiler-forum.de |

I do not see anything in a post that indicates anything. | | | Antec Nine Hundred case, 4GB A-Data DDR2 800 RAM, Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe 2.66GHz, ASUS P5K-E/WIFI-AP MB, XFX GeForce 8600GT XXX 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 video card, ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT 2 Ball CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink, Seagate Barracuda 320GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s HDD, Zerodba 620W PSU, LITE-ON 20X DVD±R DVD with LightScribe SATA, Samsung CDDVDW SH-S203B SATA, Hanns-G HH281 28" monitor, Kodak ESP3250 printer, Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 speakers, Windows 7 Professional |
