Probably noithing, I'm just typing drunk and the Zune has ruined my last 2 days since downloading the "upgrade". It was happy funtimeing beautiful, and now it's just shiitake mushroomte is all! Funny but true story. Thursday morning my bud was complaining about his Ipod sticking tunes wherever and whatever. Told him about making custom albums on the Zune. Friday morning I was begging him not to buy a Zune. The new SW sucks, that's all I can say. So long making custom CD's, so long having songs where they should be, so long having each song on there once (new software does what it wants, what you say means NOTHING!). If I could I would trade it in for an Ipod right now, but am stuck since I bought in before the update. 10 calls to MS have done nothing, biut they knwo how I feel, and not you do too. | | | Last edited: by bigdaddyhorse |

| Posted: | | | | That's good to hear because I almost bought one yesterday but someone came in and locked up every Zune on display and I ended up not buying one because I couldn't review it.
They did the same with the Apple iTouch too so I didn't go for that either. |

| Posted: | | | | Wish I could say it will all good soon, but I just can't. Judging by the Zune forums and my calls, they know it's all bad. How long it will take for updates that really fix the issues.. well, if I knew that I'd just buy some lottery tix instead. Old Zune = Great. New Zune = S***! Not sure how much worse or better Ipods are since I never owned one, but I curse myself by the minute for acdepting that "upgrade" download. I'd give my left n** and 10 others for version 1.4 back. The nerve of that guy at CS to tell me "sorry you can't downgrade" just fuels the fire I have. How can they call some program that obviosly doesn't work an "upgrade" from a product that did work? Some Fubar monkey math* going on there. *(No offense to any actual monkeys who may be posting here! ) | | | Last edited: by bigdaddyhorse |

I use some old Creative MuVo, you dont need any programs, just use it as a "memory stick" and copy/paste tunes there, works well. Been thinking of getting next the new Stone+ from Creative: | | | Last edited: by whispering |

| Posted: | | | | I've been looking in to Creative's products too and may end up going down that route. I love the ability to add a SD chip to the device. |

| Posted: | | | | Have an iPod Touch since a few days. In my opinion it's the greates device ever. Far beyond a Zune, definitely. Jailbreaking it was very easy and I'm able to install lots of fun apps now The only thing missing is a DVDP Mobile version for it, of course... |

Picked up the original Stone (1GB) for $39. It's like an iPod Shuffle for half the price. The only thing i wanted additionally was another GB (or 10) in the same container. Then they came out with the Stone+ (2GB) for $79 (just checked and Amazon has them for under $56). I installed then removed the software for both when i realized it provided no real insight into the device i couldn't get from Windows Explorer because you do plug it in like a memory stick and can transfer files the same way. That's how it charges also. I don't know that the screen adds that much to the Stone+. The interface is simpler on the original Stone. The Stone+ does add voice recording and an FM capability (though my experience indicates you need to be standing under the transmitter for that to work ) It'll never be an real iPod but it isn't trying to be. It works great as a small, easily pocketable music player. (These things are literally very slick. Consider buying the little silicon sheath for it. It won't be as slippery and it comes with a removable belt clip.) This concludes my testimony. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |

If Apple ever did this I would be very upset. | Posted: | | | | You'd have to pry my Creative Jukebox 3 out of my cold dead fingers. I actually bought a second one on eBay for parts to make sure I could keep the first one working. But then I always thought the I-Pod was ludicrously overpriced for the features. |
