| Posted: | | | | Hello,
on several occasions I recently read about The Legend of the Full Audit.
For I have never seen one with my own eyes:
What exactly is a full audit of a DVD?
I then could do some of those for relaxation in between the thousand contributions in September.
Thank you. | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. [Ken Cole, DVD Profiler Architect] |

Thank you. I could be mistaken, but I think a full audit means you check EVERY aspect of a certain DVD's profile and correct/update/add whatever is necessary. | | | . · You are my center when I spin away. Out of control on videotape. On videotape · . |

If you don't understand the terms used around here, why not look them up in a dictionary? There's no "Legend of a full audit", there are users doing them. | | | Lutz |

I checked 'The Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary of Current English' before, they describe 'audit' as ' official examination', therefore I asked. Somehow I liked the idea of doing official examinations here... | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. [Ken Cole, DVD Profiler Architect] |

Somehow I liked the idea of doing official examinations here... Quick definitions (audit)noun: a methodical examination or review of a condition or situation (Example: "He made an audit of all the plants on his property") | | | -- Enry |

Not at all; I often check and correct specific aspects of a profile without doing a 'Full Audit' and (for example) checking that the whole cast/crew lists are exactly as on the disc. ... and I've even been known to contribute CoO and SRPs of discs I don't even own... because that data is not on the disc anyway! | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

| Posted: | | | | Every new DVD that I buy gets a full audit by me. In most cases, I do my own profiles even before checking to see if they are already in the database. Even doing updates for submission, I always check the entire profile, albeit not quite as rigoorously as an initial profile. | | | John
