| Posted: | | | | This topic to make our wishes known to our programmer friends I will use this first post to bundle our requests and if there is a plugin available. Hopefully some whizkids will find the time to come up with something nifty My personal requests: - awards : plugin to show awards according to known lists used by Mithirandir skin and Ton Gaines' software. I believe Tom is already working on that - gallery : plugin to show the gallery pictures as used by Mithirandir and Roolku and maybe some others Pantheon Tagline box/scrolling bar : scroll the tagline of a movie. Also already used in Mithi's skin. Perhaps he should do the plugins | | | Greetz, Marc Castermans

| Posted: | | | | My personal request is a plug-in that would allow for DVD+/-/Ram format for the self recorded progrmas that have recoreded on your set-top DVD recorder. And if you choose this format DVDP would never try to update or upload the information to the groups data base. --David PS: I should know better than to try to post to forums when I am half a sleep... | | | Growing older is mandatory...Growing up is optional... | Posted: | | | | 1. Definitely would like to see a Gallery plugin. I used to have original posters stored under Mithi's skin.\
2. Tagline box/scrolling bar. I find taglines a great addition. |

| Posted: | | | | The Awards are more complex and a plugin will be better in that case; AFAIK TomGaines is working in this... The Gallery, could possibly also be handled by a HTML window. Some already use the function to load files (EPGs) based on a file name consisting of the UPC. The folders within the Gallery are named by the UPC too (you can start changing them to the new UPC system;)). With images it is possible to indirectly check whether a file exists, as an image has properties (width and height). I didn't have the time so far (and not within the next too days), but that would be an alternative way to do that. Maybe I'll give it a shot sometime soon. But hey, if a plugin comes along, I won't say no | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

2. Tagline box/scrolling bar. I find taglines a great addition. You can still use them, the debug version of the skin is ready for DVD-Profiler 3.02. And what's even better: you will not have to rename each gallery folder. | | | Best regards,

| Posted: | | | | I'm not much of a programmer myself. So I would like it when somebody could write a html-window which replaces the subtitles with flags. |

| Posted: | | | | Can someone make a plug-in that gets all of the actor info (pic, born year) for actors in your database? That way I don't have to back and forth to IMDB to cut and paste pics. |

| Posted: | | | | I'm looking for something simple, just a button that searches Netflix, similar to the one that looks up a title in IMDB. In all fairness, there should be one for Blockbuster as well. |

| Posted: | | | | I'd love to have a watch history in the style of the view flagged list, that can also be integrated in the profiler layout (I added the view flagged list next to the cover scans tab on the 1280 default profiler layout and would love to have a watched list there as well)
it would be great if there were options as to which users history should be displayed and maybe a way to jump to the highlighted title of the list... |

I actually tried to do that in a report, but gave up on the first one - Afrikaans! Read this, then tell me: Which flag would you use for it? | | | The future is here. | Posted: | | | | I have a request for a plug in based on a open source flash software. Is it possible to integrate this tool in DVD profiler? http://en.barcodepedia.com/download It allows to scan bar codes via a cheap web cam, here it works fine, would be great when it would work. Also it would be easier to add DVDs when you only have a laptop without numpad :D |

I'm working on a couple of other plugins at the moment, but if nobody else picks this up, I'll be back in a couple or 3 weeks to see if you still want it. Until sombody grabs it, maybe you could play around with DVDPro HTML section. There might be a clever way to do it without a plugin ... | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here.
